Nigeria’s SeamlessHR rebrands as Seamless Technologies, expands into AI, finance

Nigerian HR software company SeamlessHR has rebranded as Seamless Technologies, to focused on artificial intelligence, financial services, procurement, and workforce management.

The transition comes more than a year after the company secured a $9 million Series A extension from the Gates Foundation and Helios Digital Ventures to accelerate its expansion across Africa.

Under the new structure, SeamlessHR will continue operating as the company’s human resources platform, while new business units will deliver enterprise procurement software, embedded financial services, and AI-powered workplace solutions.

Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Dr. Emmanuel Okeleji said the rebrand shows the ambition of the company to solve business challenges beyond HR technology.

According to him, improving access to financial services has become a strategic priority, and that millions of Nigerians remain financially excluded despite the growing digital economy of the country.

The company now operates through three core business divisions including SeamlessHR, Breeze, which is an embedded finance service offering payroll financing, earned wage access, and employee financial products, and SeamlessProcure, an enterprise procurement and vendor management platform.

Seamless Technologies also introduced BWOP (Blue Collar Operations Platform), a solution designed to help organisations manage frontline and shift workers through digital attendance, scheduling, workforce records, communication, and employee self-service tools.

Chief Technology Officer and co-founder Deji Lana said the company is building integrated technology that connects work, finance, and AI to help businesses operate more efficiently while creating financial opportunities for employees.

Founded in 2018, Seamless Technologies says it serves more than 1,500 organisations across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda, and has raised over $20 million to support its expansion across Africa.
