WAEC releases 2025 WASSCE results – Here’s how students can check their scores

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates as of Monday, August 4, 2025.

Students can now view their scores online or via SMS. To check your results online, visit www.waecdirect.org. You will need your unique examination number, the WAEC result checker PIN, and the serial number from your e-PIN voucher. Both the PIN and serial number are usually available on your Smart Identity Card, which you used during the examinations. If you can’t find your PIN, you can buy a new one online for N4,250 through the WAEC Request Management System portal at https://request.waec.ng.

Once on the result portal, simply enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number, select the exam year (for 2025 results, enter 2025), and type in the required PIN and serial number. Hit submit and your results page will appear quickly.

For those who prefer using SMS, WAEC has made it simple. Just type WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear on your phone and send to 32327. Make sure you’re using a line from MTN, Glo, or Airtel, as this service only works with those networks. Standard SMS charges will apply. If you don’t get your result right away, try again as network delays can happen.

A WAEC official advised candidates to keep their result checker details safe and not share them with others to protect their personal information. Parents are encouraged to help students access their results online, especially if it’s their first time.
