GMind AI and the Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) have teamed up to launch a new AI platform set to transform how teachers work nationwide.
TRCN, which oversees teacher professionalism in Nigeria, has partnered with GMind AI, a top African EdTech company, to create a system that brings smart lesson planning, classroom simulations, and tailored teaching resources for wired cities and rural schools alike.
This new platform is designed with Nigerian realities in mind. It mixes the national curriculum, local history, and cultural insights with international teaching standards. Teachers can access AI-generated lesson plans, assessment tools, and interactive learning simulations, available both online and offline to suit any classroom.
Thus partnership is aimed at supporting teachers who are keen but may not be fully comfortable with computers. Downloadable learning packs and nationwide training sessions ensure everyone can use the platform, no matter their level of ICT skills.
We want lesson plans that truly fit our children, and we want learning to be hands-on – Dr. Ronke Soyombo, Registrar of TRCN.
She explained that the partnership was driven by GMind AI’s ability to deliver tools that work in all types of schools, from high-tech to remote villages.
GMind AI is not just an app, it’s a whole infrastructure for education. We built it to bridge gaps, making sure no teacher is left out, regardless of where they live or the quality of internet available – Dr. Deji Ajani, GMind AI’s Director of Strategic Partnerships added.
The platform’s launch will be gradual:
- Q4 2025: 50,000 teachers across all six geopolitical zones get a first look, with 2,500 master trainers coached on classroom AI.
- Q1 2026: Those master trainers help 100,000 more educators upskill, with access widening to 500,000 teachers.
- Q2–Q3 2026: The platform goes nationwide, reaching all 1.5 million licensed teachers. Training expands to 500,000 educators.
- Q4 2026: A national report will be published to showcase results, success stories, and give policy recommendations.
The project could directly benefit up to 45 million students in Nigeria.
GMind AI’s recent Award of Excellence in AI/Machine Learning from Art of Technology Lagos 6.0 further shows its credibility in digital learning.
