FiberOne begins major network revamp to improve your online experience

Nigeria’s foremost Fiber-to-the-Home provider, FiberOne Broadband, has embarked on an extensive overhaul of its infrastructure and customer services, aiming to deliver cutting-edge fiber internet experiences across key cities starting August 2025.

The newly announced project represents a strategic investment in next-generation networking technology designed to boost speed, enhance reliability, and elevate overall user satisfaction. Over the span of 15 months, culminating in October 2026, FiberOne’s phased deployment will roll out state-of-the-art improvements beginning in Lagos and subsequently extending to Abuja, Port Harcourt, and other metropolitan hubs.

Central to this transformation is the adoption of the advanced XGSPON fiber technology, which promises robust scalability and better performance, positioning the company’s network to support emerging digital needs such as ultra-high-definition streaming, smart home integration, and cloud computing services.

Complementing the technical upgrades, FiberOne is also set to unveil a suite of new customer-focused tools and service enhancements. These upgrades include intuitive self-service portals, proactive support mechanisms, improved communications platforms, and a restructured loyalty rewards program, all crafted to increase user control and transparency during service interactions.

Lanre Ore, CEO of FiberOne Broadband, emphasized,

We are laying the groundwork today for the digital demands of tomorrow. By advancing both our physical network and customer engagement capabilities, we aim to provide the most dependable and fastest broadband available in Nigeria

The company has built a reputation in the Nigerian FTTH scene, supporting over 38,000 active subscribers with expanding coverage in the nation’s major urban centers.

Subscribers will receive prior notifications ahead of upgrades in their regions, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruptions.
