Kaduna flags off statewide emergency medical service to save lives

Governor Uba Sani officially launched a new emergency medical service on October 2, 2025 in Kaduna state. The service is set up to provide quick medical help to people anywhere in the state, no matter where they live.

This new system will help save lives by giving fast medical care in emergencies like accidents and health crises.

Governor Sani said this new service shows his government’s strong commitment to better healthcare for all residents.

He said, “No person in Kaduna should be left without fast medical care because of where they are.” The emergency medical service comes with a fleet of modern ambulances and trained medical teams ready to respond to calls.

The system includes a toll-free phone number to call for help. Ambulances will arrive quickly, and patients will get initial care free for the first 48 hours.

The Health Commissioner, Hajiya Umma Ahmed, praised the launch. She said the service will reach even remote areas by including rural emergency care and transport. “Emergencies happen suddenly, but with this system, we can give care fast and save more lives,” she said.
